The public works were used in Mesopotamia for protection, hygiene, religion, travel, and food and water supply.
Massive walls around the city=Protection
Hygiene=Sewage system
Ziggurat=Religion
Flat roads=Travel
Food and Water supply= Canals/dykes and framing /storage cabinets
Each house had its own well.
Social classes
Each class had its own style of life (obviously).
Priest, Upper Class, Lower Class, and last but not least The Slaves
Priest=controls the city were doctors (chose to be bald)
Upper Class=Rich people (women:women wore one shoulder dresses with braided hair or fancy arrangements men:wore skirts, curly mustaches, and long breads)
Lower Class=own shops which they were paid for (wore jewelry it may not have been gold but they still dressed up like the Upper Class women)
Slaves=Sumerians conquered towns they brought other people from the conquered town to their town and sold them as slaves (said to be sold less than a cow)
