The Social Classes in ancient Mesopotamia like many other class structure was The Priest, Upper Class, Lower Class, and last but not least The Slaves. The Priests had somewhat a unique look. They were bald, actually more like chose to be bald. The Priests were obviously in charge since they were at the top. Not only were they in charge but they were also the doctors of the time. The Upper Class were the fancy people. They wore jewelry and fancy hairdos. The men wore skirts, curly mustaches, and long breads. The women wore one shoulder dresses with braided hair or fancy arrangements. The Lower Class was the modern middle class. They had their own shops which they were paid for. The Lower Class women wore jewelry it may not have been gold but they still dressed up like the Upper Class women. They may not have all the money in the world but they lived a happy life. The last is the Slave Class. Slaves like every other country lived an awful life. When Sumerians conquered towns they brought other people from the conquered town to their town and sold them as slaves. It was said that the slaves were sold in an auction and they were sold for less than a donkey and more than a cow!
